Chain Store Age reports that FedEx is rolling out a new delivery service that helps retailers quickly ship to late-night customers:
“The service, which has been tested in about 100 markets since late 2017, enables retailers to offer next-day local shipping and two-day national shipping for online purchases made as late as midnight. Drivers will pick up packages from stores as late as 2 a.m. for sorting.”
P.S. This service is supposedly aimed at Amazon, which is increasingly handling its own delivery logistics. Nothing is being left to chance by retailers, or shipping services, so everyone needs to be on the ball. Learn more by signing up for our e-commerce course today!
