Walmart’s On Time In Full (OTIF) initiative continues to drive accountability for suppliers. Just as 2018 brought changes to OTIF, there is much anticipation as to how Walmart may update the initiative in 2019. New direction could be announced as soon as the next Walmart Supplier Summit.
One of the industry leaders who has been on the front lines of OTIF since it was first announced is Colby Beland, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at CaseStack. Colby and his team help Walmart Suppliers meet their OTIF goals through consolidation, hitting delivery windows, warehousing, and much more. He joins us on the podcast this week to talk about the current state of OTIF and what we should be thinking about in the coming months.
In our conversation with Colby, we ask:
- What’s the reality of truck driver capacity and its impact on suppliers?
- How should suppliers plan around low driver capacity?
- What does the future look like if the trends continue?
- What’s changed with OTIF and what is likely to change in 2019?
- For suppliers still struggling to hit delivery windows, how does CaseStack get them on the right track?
